About the author

About me

He comes from Lovinobaňa, which is located in the south of central Slovakia. He graduated from TUKE University of Applied Sciences, Department of Technology and Management in Construction. Bc. He began his working life as an ordinary employee in various engineering factories such as PPS Detva, VW Devínska nová ves, Škoda Mladá Boleslav and Johnson Controls Lučenec, where he also took the first steps towards creating engineering improvement proposals.

At the age of 34, he opened a construction business, at that time he studied at TUKE University of Applied Sciences, while gaining enough practical construction experience on construction sites, which pushed him forward to differentiate himself and bring something new, original to building plaster surface treatments. At that time, he had access to and information about new types of materials from the Federal Republic of Germany, with which he could create new interior and exterior surface finishes, and he began to work on concrete surface finishes, where he invented the Svätopluk technique in three new manifestations: rendering imitation of concrete as a surface finish for interior and exterior walls.

Development of work

In addition to his own development of techniques, Svätopluk also began to develop a new type of art, which was named differently over time, depending on where the development was directed. The FIRST fresco was created in the summer of 2011, as another technique of imitating concrete. The creation of organic frescoes evolved over time, and as the technique matured towards the end of 2023, the development of this type of frescoes ended with an attempt to patent them.

On January 29, 2024, he applied to the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic for a patent: Method of producing organic frescoes. Subsequently, within one year, he also applied to patent organic frescoes in the countries CZ, UK, DE. Since 2011, he has been the first in Slovakia to also clean exposed concrete. After years of testing, in the summer of 2025, the cleaning and impregnation of exposed concrete technique reached a stage where it was possible to patent it, which he succeeded in doing, and he applied to the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic for a patent: Method of surface treatment of exposed concrete. Subsequently, he also applied for a patent for the countries CZ, AT.

He only started exhibiting paintings after 12 years since the creation of the first fresco in 2011.

Studio

The painting studio is my son and I’s shared house, where the work takes place on a horizontal painting table, which is made of a wooden frame on which Styrodur is placed. We create frescoes with plaster on a wooden base. We use a variety of plaster materials, colors, admixtures and additives. The painting of frescoes begins with applying plaster to the board, proceeds with cutting and coloring the plaster and ends with the author’s signature.
